There are many workshops and courses available to parents and teachers on how to teach dyslexic children and teens. This information is critical to understand because dyslexic children think and learn in a way which is both visual and kinesthetic. These courses, workshops, & lectures teach parents and teachers to effectively teach kids by using a multi-sensory approach to learning. With the right tools and training, a parent or teacher can help turn a student that is frustrated and failing into an academically successful and confident student. On this page, you will find many workshops, lectures and courses that specialize in visual & multi-sensory approaches toward learning. These programs offer many excellent options, but always do your research before choosing the best suited program for your child.

Obtaining assistance from professionals that specialize in dyslexia is recommended when possible, but sometimes this option can be too costly and other options need to be explored. Regardless of your budget situation, YOU can become a successful specialized dyslexic teacher in your child’s life. With the right tools and training, parents can become the most effective teacher in their child’s life. www.dyslexia.com DDAI and its affiliate organizations offer workshops year-round. These workshops are geared toward teachers, parents, and professionals who want to learn how to use Davis methods with students, clients, and family members. 

Individuals interested in a career as a Davis provider may also enroll in the Davis Facilitator Licensing Program.

It will enable educators as well as friendly, intelligent non-professionals to become successful tutors for students with a wide variety of reading problems besides dyslexia, and has been exceptionally effective in ESL classes. The workshop is designed for educators, parents, home schoolers, and psychologists as well as Special Education teachers.
