The de Paul School Summer Program provides small group academic instruction and a variety of “camp” activities for students in grades 1-8. The morning portion of the program, which is held from 9 AM to Noon, focuses on improving basic academic skills in Language Arts, Mathematics, and Reading/Literature. The afternoon “camp” classes will feature enrichment in exciting courses of study such as science camp, musical arts, computer graphics, performing arts, visual arts, and physical fitness. http://www.sheddacademy.org The Shedd Academy is nationally known for its quality of instruction with students demonstrating dyslexia, reading disabilities, language learning disabilities, attention deficit disorders, and related learning difficulties. It is a coed school and works with students, and emphasizes multisensory structured language education skills. Grades 1st – 12th
The Summer school provides 3 -5 daily classes taught on an individualized (1-1) basis.
Tutoring: Students are given one-to-one tutoring using the highly structured APSL (Alphabetic-Phonetic-Structural-Linguistic) method of instruction developed by the late Dr. Charles L. Shedd and updated by Dr. Paul L. Thompson.
